Availability: Prevail is exclusive to PRIDE Seeds in Eastern Canada.Quality: This cultivar has improved forage quality relative to standard type cultivars. It is high in fibre digestibility of unimproved check varieties in the Ontario Forage Crops Committee increased milk and meat output.
Yield: A top yielding alfalfa that exhibits excellent persistence.
Winter Hardiness: Has shown excellent winter hardiness.
Disease and Pest Reaction: Prevail has a full disease resistance profile being highly resistant to Anthracnose (Race 1), Bacterial wilt, Fusarium wilt and Phytophthora Root Rot. It is resistant to Aphanomyces root rot. (race 1), Verticillium wilt, stem nematode and spotted pea aphid.
Pre-Inoculation: PRIDE pre-inoculates all alfalfa for planting convenience. The PRIDE pre-inoculation process ensures effective nitrogen-fixing rhizobia bacteria are uniformly applied.
